Preparing for fall...

Today kinda feels a little fall like and I am soooo glad for a couple of reasons. One, it's my very favorite time of the year, love the colors, the temps, the foods and even like the clothes for this season the best! And secondly...  I am going to be in a craft show in just a little over a week and I have been crafting nothing but fall stuff, and so I am glad that it's beginning to feel like fall although chances are here in Texas it will be in the 90's within a couple of days, just sayin...
So I want to teeeaasssee you with a few things that I have made for my craft show.
I was inspired by a few blogs out there.

These pumpkins I found on a blog I have followed for a while called Tattered & Timeless. Tammy is such a sweetheart and has began selling at a booth in her area.  I have made several pumpkins in all shapes, colors and sizes.

And then I stumbled upon a new blog called Today Is My Someday and I was inspired by a fall wreath she just made. I used different fabrics than hers, most of mine are made out of old clothing, coats and upholstery fabric but I really liked the look of her wreath with the burlap at the top so I incorporated it into my wreath.
I love these flowers, parts of them are from leather and suede coats.
These flowers are made from burlap, felt and upholstery fabrics and a bit of yarn and ribbon too!
Love these colors! I'm excited but nervous, I should have started working on this months ago. Not sure what I was thinking trying to pull it together in just a month. This is the first craft show I have done in years! I am hoping to get a booth at a local shop once this is done.
So I have all lots more for sell, but if you want to see it you'll need to come to the craft show!

Accessorizing above your cabinets

I hope everyone had a great Labor day weekend but mostly I hope if you have been in the middle of this awful heat wave this summer you have finally gotten some relief! We finally did here in Texas! It has been glorious!!! I went to see my sister in East Texas and spent some time doing one of my fav past times, that would be decorating! She is changing up her colors and giving everything an update. I want to share what we did above the cabinets.
She is changing to blues, greens and golds AND also to the "less is more" style.

She lives out in the country so when we begin these projects it usually involves some creative alternatives. There are no stores close by. We just happened to have some rustic wood ( did I mention their son runs a pallet making place?).
We were low on "stuff" but had  lots of space so I made this grocery sign to fill it in. I LOVE IT! I can't stop thinking about it!!! Now I need one for my house. Isn't that always the ways it goes???
You can see the patina of the wood better up close. Right now I am thinking it's probably one of my favorite things I have ever made, did I say I love it, cause I do!

I loved it so much I had to make 2 more, eggs and milk! My niece said if I make them for her house she wants cupcakes and chocolate! That sounds good to me too!
I think we're both pretty happy how it all came together with stuff she had laying around. You can't see in that basket, but it's plastic Easter eggs spray painted off white. Hey a girls gotta go with what she's got!
So keep checking back because I think I just became a sign maker! And by the way, loving my new camera!!!!

My new baby!

Well if you have followed me at all you know one thing. I have a horrible camera! Not anymore!!! Momma got a new baby!

Isn't she beautiful???? I haven't named her yet but I'm working on it. She came with instructions but I am a little challenged in this area I think so if you have any great tips or know of a great source out there to help me figure her out let me know. Best part... she doesn't keep me up at night. I just love her!
